Malpass: Don’t give DioGuardi another card

Posted by: Nick Reisman - Posted in Uncategorized on Sep 02, 2010

Republican Senate hopeful David Malpass is attacking primary opponent Joe DioGuardi again—this time riffing off the former Westchester County congressman’s television ad released this week.

In a Web video, Malpass points out that DioGuardi cast votes in Congress against President Ronald Reagan and voted for pay raises.

“Using this card, he voted against Ronald Reagan 40 percent of time. He used this card to vote himself three pay raises,” a narrator in the video says.

DioGuardi released a TV ad earlier this week holding up his voting card from his House days, saying that the present-day Democratic-led Congress is spending beyond its means.

Malpass has focused his fire on DioGuardi lately in press releases and this online video. Neither DioGuardi or Malpass has mentioned the third man in the race, former Nassau County Legislator Bruce Blakeman. Malpass is a Reagan and Bush-era Treasury Department economist and an economist for Bearn Sterns. The winner of the Sept. 14 primary takes on U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

    Ouch!

Malpass did so poorly in the GOP primary debate that he had to bail out of the next one with Joe. I mean, it was unnervingly bad. Only Blakeman did worse. That weird tweaker is history.

    Blakeman 10%

David, you’re 16 points down-idiotic ads like this are not helping you. Here’s a thought Mr. Malpass-STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON A CAMPAIGN YOU CAN’T WIN!
Fire all of the Pataki people around, and especially the unintelligent Jessica Proud.
    You’re not going anywhere David.
Why are you trying to help Gillibrand in the process of your own demise?

gillibrand is quite beatable…but not with any of these
candidates…you need a moderate, fiscal conservative who opposes the war in afganistan as it is presently being fought and who understands that the only way to deal
with the enormous federal deficit is to structurally
change entitlements and the tax code…that beats
her because she is an Obama clone
