Sliwa headlining DioGuardi fundraiser as poll shows Gillibrand with lead
Curtis Sliwa, the outspoken radio personality who founded the Guardian Angels, will be the featured guest at an Oct. 2 fundraiser for Joe DioGuardi.
DioGuardi, a former Republican congressman and certified public accountant, is challenging Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democrat, on a platform of smaller government and cutting spending.
A recent Quinnipiac poll shows Gillibrand with a six point lead, with 48 percent to Dioguardi’s 42 percent.
The two hold significant leads within their own parties, though independent voters are split with 42 percent for DioGuardi and 41 percent for Gillibrand.

Seriously? You want to rehash the Balkan wars of the 90s? Using a website that claims to be nonpolitical but clearly isn’t. (By the way Lord Byron was very fond of Albanians. Learn your history). There were/are no Albanian terrorists. The kosovars fought for their god-given right to life and liberty, taken away from them by Milosevic. Albanians are the most pro-American people in the world. DioGuardi and many other american leaders called out Milosevic for who he was. Apparently, though, you miss him.
You know, DioGuardi is also a fan of that terrorist George Washington—His slaughter of all those brave British Red Coats is well known. I’m sure Emily is also a big supporter of the Ground Zero Mosque. No terrorists there, eh Ms. Walsh?
