Lowey Blasts Paladino On ‘Little Girl Comments’

Posted by: Nick Reisman - Posted in Uncategorized on Oct 29, 2010

U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey, D-Harrison, Westchester County, today blasted statements made by Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino who Thursday called U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand “a little girl.”

“Carl Paladino’s extremist antics are wearing thin,” Lowey said in a statement.  ”New Yorkers deserve better than his tantrums, meltdowns, and his sexist comments. He should apologize to Senator Gillibrand immediately for a remark that is demeaning to all women, and Joe Dioguardi should immediately repudiate this latest crazy comment by a candidate who is clearly grasping at straws.”

Asked about the comments at a rally in Albany on Friday, Paladino didn’t take them back.

“I think she does what (U.S. Sen. Charles) Schumer tells her to do and if that’s the kind of government you want, she’d be very good. So she is his little girl,” Paladino said.

  1. D

Gillibrand is nothing more than Schumer’s butt puppet and everybody knows it. Hag Lowey is upset because Paladino hit the bullseye with his remark.

  2. TheTruth

The 1988 FEC felon Nita Lowey makes a statement.
Lowey’s corrupt ways in Washington D.C. must have affected her thought process. She has no right to comment on this race—unless she wants to admit that she illegally put money into her 1988 Congressional campaign.
Otherwise Nita, the taxes are too high; Chuck’s puppet has got to go. And yes, DioGuardi for U.S. Senate!
