The Senate and Assembly just put out their schedule of public hearings on the budget Gov. Andrew Cuomo will propose next Tuesday. Cuomo is expected to make severe cuts in education, health care and other areas to close a roughly $10 billion budget gap.

The first hearing will be Feb. 7, and the last one is scheduled for March 2. They are held in the Legislative Office Building in Albany. The hearings will be webcast on the Senate and Assembly websites.

    The following is my testimony

The Legislature budget is to damn high and needs to be cut by 25% or more.

Your Committees have separate budgets, and a good way to start off your hearing is to announce that you are cutting your OWN” budget by 25% or more.

You should take the lead to do more with less.
