As we reported this morning, billionaire Rochester native Tom Golisano is becoming national spokesman for the National Popular Vote campaign today, pumping money into the group and becoming its chief lobbyist in pushing for a popular vote to elect a president.

Golisano is bringing along his top advisers, Steve Pigeon and Laureen Oliver, to help with the effort.

Golisano he said he has no plans to come back into New York politics, since he now lives in Florida, but he said he’ll be busy with the National Popular Vote campaign.

He’s announcing his role this morning in Washington D.C. In the meantime, he has this tutorial video out to discuss the effort.
