MoveOn members to protest Hayworth

Members of will gather tomorrow (Thursday) outside Rep. Nan Hayworth’s district office in Goshen to protest her support of the Republicans’ recently proposed budget cuts.

“The Republicans recently proposed over $100 billion in cuts to the federal budget, which would include cutting funds for the most needy among us, from toddlers in Head Start to seniors in need of assistance to pay for home heating costs. At the event, participants will share their personal stories about how the economic crisis and proposed Republican budget cuts are affecting them,” MoveOn said in a release.

Hayworth’s office is at 225 Main St. in Goshen. The event starts at 12 noon.

Hayworth, R-Mount Kisco, defeated two-term Democratic Congressman John Hall last year.
