Here’s the new mugshot of former state Comptroller Alan Hevesi, who was sentenced Friday to one to four years in prison for his role in the massive pay-to-play scandal involving the pension fund. The photo was released this afternoon by the state Department of Correctional Services.
Hevesi is currently in the medium-security Ulster Correctional Facility in Napanoch, and he’s in the infirmary for an undisclosed reason—although Hevesi, 71, has had health problems in recent years.
He has been assigned the inmate identification number of 11-R-1334. He could be released as early as February.
He looks thinner and older than he did in his first mugshot in 2006, when he was convicted of using his aides to chauffeur his ill wife and resigned because of it after his re-election.
