The funeral for former Gov. Hugh Carey will be held Thursday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Associated Press reported this morning. Carey, the Democratic governor from 1975 through 1982, died early Sunday morning at his home off Long Island. He was 92.

NEW YORK (AP) — A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for former New York Gov. Hugh Carey.
The Frank E. Campbell funeral chapel in Manhattan says it will hold Carey’s wake on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Carey served two terms as governor from 1975 to 1982, after seven terms as a congressman.
He led the rescue effort that brought New York City back from the brink of bankruptcy during its 1975 fiscal crisis.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo called him a “true American success story.”
Carey died early Sunday at the age of 92.
The hours of the wake are 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m.
