YONKERS — The city’s three mayoral candidates will discuss their views on the environment at a forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Beczak Environmental Education Center, 35 Alexander St.

Topics will include waterfront development, sustainable building, steep slopes, infrastructure maintenance, the use of pesticides and fertilizers, gas-powered leaf blowers, and storm and flood management.

The event, part of a voter engagement campaign by the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, is co-organized by Beczak, the Bronx River Parkway Reservation Conservancy, Groundwork Hudson Valley and the Yonkers Committee for Smart Development.
