GOP Knocks Gillibrand For Switzerland Fundraiser

State GOP chairman Ed Cox criticized Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand today for holding a fundraiser today in Geneva, Switzerland, saying “that the people she was elected to represent live in Geneva, N.Y., not Geneva, Switzerland.”

According to her campaign website, she’s being feted at the home of Anne-Shelton Aaron. Tickets range from $250 to to $2,500.

“People in Geneva, Switzerland may have more money than people in Geneva, N.Y., but that’s no excuse to be running around the globe on a fundraising junket while there is work to be done here at home,” Cox said in a statement.

Gillibrand, a Democrat, is seeking a full, six-year term in November.

  1. Chairman Cox is right [on this one]! I agree with him.
This reminds me of this NEWS REPORT AND A FRONT PAGE PICTURE OF A US CONGRESSMAN from the added-up Rockland County [added-up] District where We The People apparently have no representation what so ever [unless politically correct] blocks! Yes! Politically Correct Blocks! in real sense of legal definition of “Repetition” as prescribed by LAW.

The Famous Rockland County whose Votes of Elected Offices of Public Trust are presumably casted twice one in The Famous Town of Ramapo and Brooklyn! [ a political joke]! Not to mention the Social Security Checks! Well. The “nothing will happen story continues”!

This latest act of a US Senator [ groomed in the Who knows Who] upbringing and a Product of Pre-Existing NY Political Scene of Favors among each others is really seems to be chasing money. I am just feeling embarrassed thinking; if I was a Swiss and a US Senator would have come all the way along and begging money; How will I feel. But! Thank God, I am An American. And I really feel that any Man or Woman Representing My National Institution should not bring disrespect to the House.

Hey! she wants to beg money; its ok! Go beg! But, the good should have been after either retiring from The Office of finding some more appropriate Job! Have some Respect to My Country and Its Institutions. Don’t you think?

it should be illegal for a sitting US senator to accept foreign contributions…if it is not
already….apparently Gillibrand is a bit tone deaf on the subject..but think about it
new york state has two democratic senators…but there are two political parties..
considering chuck schumer is probably not going to get beaten would be nice
if we replaced gillibrand with a republican who has a different take on how to spend
taxpayer money…and who isn’t appended to schumer as if she were a puppet on a string

  3. I_m impressed, I must say. Actually not often do I encounter a blog that_s
both educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you’ve got hit the nail on the head. Your thought is excellent; the problem is one thing that not sufficient individuals are talking intelligently about. I’m
very joyful that I stumbled throughout this in my search for
    one thing referring to this.
