Linsanity To Return To MSG Network
Apparently Gov. Andrew Cuomo stepped in and helped resolve the MSG-Time Warner dispute that kept 1.3 million New Yorkers from watching the Knicks, Rangers, Devils and Islanders for the past seven weeks.
“I applaud both Mr. Dolan and Mr. Britt and their companies. I thank them for being responsive to the needs of New Yorkers,” Cuomo said in a statement this afternoon.
The New York Times reported that Cuomo, who is already riding high in the polls and credited for steadying state government, helped broker the deal.
It’s unclear when the games will be back on the air and Knicks fans can watch phenom Jeremy Lin.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said his office also worked to get the deal done.
“Our office has worked diligently with Time Warner Cable and MSG Networks over the last month to bring about a resolution to their dispute. We are pleased that both parties have reached an agreement that will finally allow Knicks, Rangers, and Sabres fans to enjoy the rest of this season’s games, Schneiderman said.

This is fluff. Both firms will now contribute at multiples of their original levels to the Cuomo campaign funds .
By the way, Politics on the Hudson is the only real section of LoHud that makes any difference.
The rest of the sections are of dubious value, who was robbed, where a fire was put out, why someone was caught driving drunk, which restaurant serves a dish, who was seen with movie star B, which team won a game, which commercial during Super Bowl—-little meaning to most people too busy working to have any concern
But this section actually reports on what the elected leaders and those who influence them are saying and putting in print. It is appreciated that full documents are made available online also.
Praising LoHud for good work is easy when it is deserved. Good work !
