Hayworth kicks off her re-election campaign

Rep. Nan Hayworth doesn’t know which Democrat she will be facing on the November ballot, but she has kicked off her 2012 campaign for the newly-reshaped Congressional District 18.

The primary with five Democratic candidates is on Tuesday.

But nevertheless, on  Saturday Hayworth, R-Bedford,  opened her headquarters in Newburgh.

Here is a clip from the press release:

Today I’m here with you, on the banks of our beautiful Hudson River, in the shadow of historic Mount Beacon, just a few hundred yards from the very place where George Washington established his headquarters during the Revolutionary War, to announce officially that I am running for re-election as your Member of Congress. I’m here to continue fighting with you for the future you deserve as the sons and daughters of a country that was founded by those revolutionaries to respect and revere and empower you as individuals with hearts and minds capable of dreaming and achieving your highest aspirations–just as my Mom did when she chose to become an American a little over 60 years ago.

She supports balanced budgets and wants to promote job creation, lower taxes and economic growth. Check out her website for her information.
