A Bronx-based organization called Program Reach will honor Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino on Sept. 27 in Yonkers. The organization developed an abstinence-based sex education program and was founded to work with community organizations to council pregnant youth from an anti-abortion perspective. Former Yonkers Mayor Philip Amicone will be the master of ceremonies. Here is the announcement of the event:
Bronx, NY August 9th, 2012. Program Reach invites all interested parties to attend their event honoring Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino on Thursday, September 27th 2012 with a cocktail reception from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., to be held at The Fairways at Dunwoodie, 1 Wasylenko Drive in Yonkers.
“Rob is a steadfast supporter of the “culture of life” that we support and the evening’s program will give you a chance to meet and talk to him in a personal setting where he will discuss a variety of topics from the current state of county affairs to support for Healthy Respect, a youth development and education model that has helped improve the lives of more than 10,000 students in the region over the last seven years” said Dr. Nanci Coppola, Chief Executive Officer of Program Reach.
Honorable Philip Amicone added “Proceeds from the evening will benefit Program Reach. The event is by invitation and attendance is limited, so I urge you to make plans to attend right away.
