Incumbent Republican Robert Castelli has picked up the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business in his bid to represent the 93rd state Assembly District.
“Bob Castelli has been a great advocate for small business in the legislature and his terrific voting record proves it,” said NFIB/New York State Director Mike Durant, in announcing the group’s support. “Assemblyman Castelli has stood with small business to help enact two consecutive fiscally responsible budgets and continues to stress the need for Albany’s focus to remain on reducing the high cost of doing business.”
Castelli said he was “thrilled and honored” to receive the business group’s support, saying that he’s “been an advocate for small business since taking office and recognize that they are the lifeblood of each community in New York. ”
Castelli, of Goldens Bridge, is being challenged by White Plains Democrat David Buchwald, a member of the city’s Common Council. The 93rd District covers part of White Plains along with Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle and Pound Ridge.– Rich Liebson/LoHud.com
