Clinton To Make Upstate Campaign Trip on Friday

Former President Bill Clinton will speak at two rallies on Friday to help Democratic congressional candidates upstate.

He will be visiting Landmark Aviation Hanger in Syracuse and the Main Street Armory in Rochester, Gannett’s Haley Viccaro reports.

The rally in Syracuse will feature Clinton’s endorsement of Dan Maffei for New York’s 24th Congressional District. According to a release, Clinton will discuss rebuilding the middle class and creating jobs.

Clinton is hosting the rally in Rochester for Congresswomen Kathy Hochul and Louise Slaughter.

“President Clinton represents the very best of bi-partisan leadership, and his record demonstrates the positive progress we can make when Democrats and Republicans work together to grow our economy, strengthen the middle class, and balance the budget,” Hochul said in a statement.

The rally in Syracuse will start at 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Landmark Aviation Hanger is located at 248 Tuskegee Road, Building #113.

The event in Rochester will be held at the Armory located at 900 East Main Street with a limited amount of tickets available to the public.
