A meeting with New York’s congressional delegation is scheduled to wrap up shortly, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office just announced he will host a briefing with the press this afternoon.
Cuomo is expected to update his request for federal aid to help the state rebuild from Superstorm Sandy. Earlier this month, Cuomo had said the state would ask for $30 billion. Details of the aid request, however, have been scarce.
Earlier today, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg unveiled the city’s request — $9.8 billion.
