REPLAY: Presentation On New Tappan Zee Bridge

If you missed it, here’s the presentation this afternoon from the state Thruway Authority on the designs for a new Tappan Zee Bridge.

There were three bidders, ranging in price from $3.1 billion to $4 billion. A design review team selected by Gov. Andrew Cuomo is recommending the least expensive option.

The Thruway Authority will meet on Dec. 17 to review the bids and select a winner. The design review team’s recommendations will be a major factor in the final decision, said Thomas Madison, the Thruway’s executive director.

“It plays a heavy role in the decision-making process,” he said.
