Congressman-elect Sean Patrick Maloney, newly elected Democrat to serve District 18, has been named to sit on House of Representatives committee Transportation and Infrastructure.

He released the following statement:

Transportation infrastructure is critically important to this district and our nation. From my time in government and the private sector I know how good transportation and infrastructure policy can have a powerful impact on the economy, job creation, and public safety and well-being. I am excited to get to work with colleagues from both parties to help get this country moving again.
