A day after Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino set a $45,000 fundraising goal between now and the January campaign finance deadline, his Democratic opponent Ken Jenkins, the chairman of the Board of Legislators, one upped him with a $50,000 goal.
Jenkins officially announced his candidacy Wednesday. But before November’s election, the Democrats will have to sort out who will take on Astorino. Legislator Bill Ryan and New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson have also joined the race. The Jan. 15 filing will be the first, if premature and imperfect, gauge of support for the candidates.
