VIEW: Rochester’s Budget Testimony in Four-Color Brochure

Here’s the city of Rochester’s testimony today in Albany.

Since Robert Duffy was mayor, the city each year has provided a colorful brochure as part of its testimony. It started when the city was trying to make the point that it gets less per capita aid than the cities of Syracuse and Buffalo.

The handout is a little thinner than previous years, but it still makes the point — in charts and photos — about the troubled state of the city’s finances. For example, in the mid-1970s, the city once employed 4,000 people; now it’s down to 2,700.
