Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand just announced on her Twitter account that she plans to vote for former Sen. Chuck Hagel as secretary of defense.

“After 2 personal convo’s & Sen. Hagel satisfying my concerns today, I will support confirmation & hold him accountable to his commitments.’’

Gillibrand is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and was among the senators who questioned Hagel today.
