Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt is set to make an undisclosed “special announcement about her future intentions as a public official” on Wednesday, where—judging by the logo at left—she’s expected to announce a run for Orange County clerk.
Rabbitt, a Republican from Greenwood Lake, Orange County, represents a district that includes half of the town of Ramapo in Rockland. She was first elected in 2004 and handily defeated Democratic Monroe Town Councilman Gerard McQuade last year in her most-recent re-election bid.
A media advisory for Wednesday’s “special advisory” included the “Annie Rabbitt for Orange County Clerk” logo.
“I am excited about this announcement, and I hope that Orange County residents will be able to stand with me as I announce my future intentions to continue my public service,” Rabbitt said in a statement. “I want to continue to serve Orange County residents, and I look forward to talking directly to the people about our future.”
