For your viewing pleasure, here are some sights and sounds from the pro-gun rally Thursday, which attracted about 5,000 gun owners and supporters outside of the state Capitol.
More video here, here, here, here and here.
The bus drivers who bused activists from all over the state tallied their own numbers while they were waiting for the rally to end and return their passengers home. Their own numbers were 7,000. And that is just people who came for the rally by bus alone. The NYS Troopers said the crown was roughly 12,000. They also said it was the largest demonstration in the Capitol’s history. Don’t know where you got that 5,000 number from, but it is WAY, WAY off.
The crowd was well over 12,000. This reporter must have been counting before noon. Crowd maxed out around 1pm.
PS – pretty sure this is the same reporter who called the January 19th crowd at around 3,000 when it was over 5,000. Must be liberal math…
This is a very good tip especially to those new to the blogosphere.
Brief but very accurate information_ Thank you for sharing this one.
A must read post!
