Here’s the lawsuit filed today by the state Rifle & Pistol Association against the state’s gun-control law in federal court in Buffalo.

The 37-page lawsuit includes a number of other plaintiffs, including the Westchester County Firearms Owners Association.

“This is an action to vindicate the right of the people of the State of New York to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits infringement of the right of law-abiding citizens to keep commonly-possessed firearms in the home for defense of self and family and for other lawful purposes,” the lawsuit states.

The case is the second lawsuit against the NY-SAFE Act, which was adopted by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the state Legislature on Jan. 15. The first court case was dismissed in state Supreme Court and is now under appeal.
