Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer continued his redemption tour today as he runs for New York City comptroller.
On MSNBC this morning, Spitzer choked up at the end of the interview, saying “You go through that pain, you change” as he was asked for a final thought about the prostitution scandal that brought down his governorship in 2008.
During the interview, Spitzer was pressed on breaking the law and why people should forgive him.
“I’m ready to ask for forgiveness,” Spitzer said.
