Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino’s reelection campaign raised nearly $1.2 million since January, leaving $2.8 million in cash on hand after the campaign started rolling out TV commercials and mailers.
According to the campaign, which has a deadline Monday to file campaign finance reports, the median donation was $200 and 76 percent of donors were from Westchester. It spent more than $500,000 since January.
“Friends of Rob Astorino is enormously grateful for the continuous support it is receiving from a broad cross-section of voters,” said Bill O’Reilly, a spokesman for the campaign, by email. “County Executive Astorino has kept his promises to taxpayers, and they clearly appreciate it. We take nothing for granted in this election, and will continue working around the clock to see that Mr. Astorino’s bipartisan reform agenda continues to move forward.”
The campaign had $2.2 million in the bank in January after having raised about a million dollars in the previous six months.
Astorino’s Democratic opponent, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, had $525,000 in the bank in January and has raised $1.1 million total. The detailed reports are not yet available for either campaign.
