President Obama’s final leg of his tour of New York starts at 12:45 p.m. at Binghamton University when he holds a town-hall event on campus about college affordability.
“The president will discuss the importance of ensuring that every American has the opportunity to achieve a quality education by reducing cost and improving the value of higher education for middle-class students and their families,” the White House said.
The event comes after similarly themed speeches yesterday in Buffalo and Syracuse, and a lunch chat with college kids in Rochester. The president spent the night in Auburn, visited a soccer practice near Syracuse and headed to Binghamton.
The last stop on the two-day bus tour is Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa., later this afternoon.
