As the one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy approaches next week, Gov. Andrew Cuomo will get an update from local officials around the state about recovery from major storms in recent years.
The Oct. 29 storm hit the downstate area and caused damage in New York City and its suburbs. A year early, tropical storms Lee and Irene hit the northern Hudson Valley and Southern Tier and into the Catskills.
The event is expected to last all day and kicks off at 10 a.m.
