The state today said it has revamped its “Pride of New York” website, allowing New Yorkers to search for homegrown products near where they live.
The website is www.prideofny.com.
“Whether you’re looking for a bakery on Long Island or a winery in the North Country, the ‘Pride of New York’ website offers an extensive collection of New York’s finest local producers to help complete your holiday season,” Cuomo said in a statement.
Cuomo has tried to boost the state’s brand since he took office in 2011, part of his Taste NY initiative. He has brought chefs and wine-store owners upstate to encourage them to buy New York products.
The “Pride of New York” program also promotes local food by affixing the emblem to the products.
There’s a phone number for more information (1-800-554-4501) through the state Ag and Markets departments. To join the program, fill out the application here: or visit www.prideofny.com. To join the “Pride of New York” program, visit: https://www.prideofny.com/PONY/pdfs/PrideGenApp.pdf
